Our Team

We are longtime game and entertainment enthusiasts. Our team includes staff from Screenlife, the inventor of Scene It?, the DVD-based movie game that sold over 25 million units. We’re currently assembling a seasoned team from the casual game, digital entertainment and social media industries.

Dave Long - Co-Founder/CEO
Before founding Exponential Entertainment, Dave co-founded Screenlife LLC and invented the company’s blockbuster Scene It? line of interactive DVD board games, which sold more than 20 million games in 9 languages across 26 different countries. Dave drove the development of blockbuster Scene It? games from popular entertainment franchises, including Harry Potter, James Bond, Friends, Disney, Marvel Comics, Nickelodeon, HBO and many others. Dave also negotiated license agreements with major Hollywood studios (Warner Bros., Universal and Paramount), major music labels (EMI, Warner and Universal) and major sports leagues (MLB, NFL and NBA). Screenlife was sold to Paramount Pictures in 2008.
Bill Kuper - Co-Founder/CTO
Bill's career spans over 25 years of media production and technology. Prior to founding Exponential Entertainment Bill was CTO at Screenlife, makers of the Scene It? line of DVD games. Bill was instrumental in the early development of Scene It? along with his team at Digital Farm, the digital media services company he founded before merging with Screenlife in 2004. A pioneer in the DVD industry, he served as a director on the board of the international DVD Association until 2007. Bill currently serves on the board of two non-profit foundations.
Ed Fries - Board Member
Ed Fries created his first video games for the Atari 800 in the early 1980s. He joined Microsoft in 1986, and spent the next ten years as one of the founding developers of both Excel and Word. He left the Office team to pursue his passion for interactive entertainment and created Microsoft Game Studios. Over the next eight years he grew the team from 50 people to over 1200, published more than 100 games including more than a dozen million+ sellers, co-founded the Xbox project, and made Microsoft one of the leaders in the interactive entertainment business. In 2004, Ed retired from his Microsoft Vice President job to continue his work in the video game business as board member, advisor and consultant to a broad range of publishers, independent game developers, and media companies. In 2007 Ed launched his own startup, FigurePrints, an innovative company that uses 3D color printing technology to bring video game characters to life.
